Privacy Policy

No Spam Pledge

We dislike spam as much as anyone, and it is our intent to maintain the Guerrilla Consulting site and accompanying email subscription list a "spam-free" zone.

The information you provide to by subscribing to the newsletter, visiting our site, or sending us an email will never be sold, traded, bartered, or transferred in any other way. Period.

So, what do we do with the information you provide?

Subscribing to The Guerrilla Consultant

When a reader subscribes to The Guerrilla Consultant, we collect contact information such as name and email address. This information is used to send you each issue of The Guerrilla Consultant. That’s all we do with the information.

We do store this information on our hosting service computers and, hopefully, the information is properly backed-up.

If you want, you can quickly and permanently unsubscribe from our mailing list. We hate to see readers leave us, but you’ll find an unsubscribe option at the bottom of every email we send to you. When you make an unsubscribe request, it is processed immediately by our list hosting service provider.

Email

We also use email links located on various places on the site that to allow you to contact us directly with any questions or comments. We read every message sent in and try to reply promptly.

The information you provide is used to respond directly to your questions or comments. We may also file your comments to improve the site and program, or review and discard the information.

When a reader submits an item for publication in the newsletter or the site, most people want their name, occupation and web site link published along with their article. We are only too happy to oblige.

We will only consider requests for anonymous posts on a case-by-case basis. Frankly, we’d rather publish articles and comments from people who are willing to identify themselves.

Logged Files and Cookies

Our site logs IP addresses and browser types for systems administration purposes. These logs will be analyzed to improve the value of the materials available on the website. A visitor’s session is, however, anonymous. We do not link IP addresses to any personally identifiable information.

If you participate in a poll on this site, the system will place a cookie on your computer to allow you to review poll results. The cookie does not store the machine ID, it isn't used for any other purpose and it expires in 30 minutes.

Third Party Service Providers

We have a contract with third parties to assist us with stuff we can’t do ourselves, like sending out newsletters, hosting our site and developing our site. We only provide third party service providers with the information necessary to carry out the service. Third party service providers are contractually prevented from using the information received from us for any purpose other than specified by us.

Surfing to Other Links

Our site contains links to lots of other sites. Unfortunately, we can’t vouch for how each of these sites handles issues of privacy, so have a look at their privacy policy when you arrive at the site.

Last, but not least

The only exception to this privacy policy kicks in if we are required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law, cooperate with law enforcement agencies, or comply with a legal process served on our Web site or newsletter.

If you have any questions about how seriously we treat your privacy, send an email to the editor.
